"The black-and-white base illustrations were drawn on two-ply plate Bristol-weight (100 lb.) board...using Speedball Hunt 108 and bowl pointed pen nibs with Higgins Black Magic Waterproof Drawing Ink. The finished...drawings were transferred...by xerographic process onto 80 lb. hot press Fabriano watercolor paper and painted with Winsor & Newton Artists' Watercolour Paints."
